Laguna Beach a la Carte Event at Tivoli Too Raises Funds for Local Animal Shelter
The Laguna Beach Animal Shelter was the recipient of funds from Tivoli Too’s Sunday event, part of the inaugural Laguna Beach a la Carte – A Food & Wine Experience produced by the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau held March 10-13. The four-day event featured five major events and 28 restaurants who offered prix-fixe menus and other specials.

On Sunday, March 13, Tivoli Too’s June Neptune hosted a champagne and jazz brunch for 120 people. The event, which was co-sponsored by the Laguna Board of Realtors, generated more than $7,500 for the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter (a right to life shelter), which suffered severe damage during the rains and needed to be evacuated. The festivities welcomed guest hostess Betty DeGeneres, (Ellen DeGeneres’ mother), philanthropist and Laguna Beach pet parade judge. Guests also enjoyed a surprise visit by Lee Ferrell, previously with the Righteous Brothers (and Will Ferrell’s father.)

“The Laguna Board of Realtors and Affiliates’ Charitable Assistance Fund was happy to partner with Tivoli Too! and the Laguna Beach Visitors Bureau to sponsor the champagne brunch,” said Nancy Pooley, president of the Laguna Board of Realtors. “Along with the incredible generosity from our local friends from PIMCO, a significant amount was raised at Sunday’s event.”

“The event was a great way to partner with one of our members and the Laguna Board of Realtors to benefit such a local, worthy cause,” said Judith Bijlani, executive director, Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau.
