Shauna Covington’s professional and personal life reflects her belief to give her best every day. Out of more than 54,000 Prudential Real Estate agents in North America, Covington ranked eighth in the nation, beating the previous year’s ranking of No. 10.
Prudential also recognized Covington as the top agent in the county for the second consecutive year.
“The fact that Shauna has been a Pinnacle award-winner for two straight years is an indication of her talent for negotiating and ability to deliver positive results for her clients,” notes Jim Vermilya, manager of Prudential’s Laguna Beach office. “Her local market knowledge and phenomenal work ethic have given her an excellent reputation in the real estate community.”
A graduate of USC, Covington began her career teaching in the Newport Mesa School District. “Teaching is a great preparation for life,” she reflects. “Spontaneity and the knowledge that there is more than one way to solve a problem are important lessons teachers learn.” She adds, “In real estate, it is essential to look at a variety of options in order to arrive at the ideal solution.”
Now a 25-year real estate veteran, Covington began working for Covington Homes as an on-site project sales manager and agent in Orange and San Diego counties. In addition to working with home buyers in selecting their homes, she was also responsible for managing 50 escrows at a time.
Covington’s dedication has earned her the respect of customers and colleagues alike, along with many professional accolades. Covington served for five years as a director of the Laguna Board of Realtors and also serves as a director of Prudential’s luxury division.
