On Sunday, Sept. 29, the Dana Point/San Clemente/San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, and I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue, a nonprofit, all-breed, no-kill dog rescue organization, hosted a successful pet adoption event. They joined hundreds of Coldwell Banker offices and animal shelters around the country for the Coldwell Banker “Homes for Dogs” National Adoption Weekend.
“As of today, there have been two official adoptions with more applications for adoption being processed,” said Ric Hernandez, branch manager of the Dana Point/ San Clemente/San Juan Capistrano and Laguna Beach offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. “We raised around $600 in donations for I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue at the event. Leading up to the event, we also accepted donations for the rescue and were able to donate dog beds, leashes, collars, toys, food and more items.”
At the event, attendees were able to purchase hot dogs and drinks with proceeds benefiting I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue, visit with 15 adoptable dogs and enter opportunity drawings. The event took place at the Dana Point/ San Clemente/San Juan Capistrano office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. West Coast Escrow, Guaranteed Rate Affinity and Equity Title participated in and supported the event.
The nationwide adoption weekend is part of the “Homes for Dogs Project,” a three-year campaign launched by Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and Adopt-a-Pet.com, North America’s largest nonprofit pet adoption website. The organization has already helped to facilitate more than 20,000 adoptions.
