Todd Davis Reflects on Monarch Bay
Monarch Bay has long been one of my favorite communities in all of southern Orange County. From the endless coastal views, including Catalina Island, The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, Dana Point Headlands and beyond, to access to a coveted private beach club, it’s a community that exemplifies that California lifestyle we often dream about. I had the privilege of breaking two records in the community in 2022 with the sale of 33 and 63 Monarch Bay Drive (the latter being the 3rd highest sale in all of Orange County for 2022). I’m excited to share that I will once again have the honor of representing the sale of 63 Monarch Bay Drive (currently Coming Soon!). Here’s some information about the Monarch Bay community:
HISTORY: Originally developed in the 1960s on leased land, Monarch Bay today is an upscale guard-gated community of more than 200 luxurious custom-built homes on fee simple lots.
LOCATION: Monarch Bay is situated on the ocean side of Pacific Coast Highway in the Monarch Beach neighborhood of Dana Point.
TOP SAFETY & SECURITY: Earlier this year, the community completed construction on a brand-new 24/7 guardgated security booth with leading edge security technologies. Residents get to enjoy an added layer of safety with roving security personnel.
MONARCH BAY BEACH CLUB: Residents of Monarch Bay have complimentary access to the exclusive and newly remodeled Monarch Bay Beach Club. This private beach club offers dining, social events, and more. Beach attendants set up complementary towel, beach chair, and umbrella service on the sand for members. Editor’s note: Nonresidents can also join for a hefty initiation fee, quarterly dues, and about a 2-year wait list.
COMMUNITY AMENITIES & EVENTS: While Monarch Bay Beach is the primary attraction, the community may also offer additional amenities such as sports courts, playground equipment, fenced dog run, and a large grassy lawn in Monarch Bay’s Neptune Park. Residents can also enjoy community block parties, Halloween in the park, and an annual beach volleyball tournament.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: Monarch Bay is conveniently located near a range of attractions and amenities, including the El Niguel Country Club and Golf Course, the Monarch Beach Golf Course, the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach, the Dana Point Harbor, Laguna Beach, and more.
