Mariner’s Mile had plenty of traffic in the 1920s, but homes and businesses? Not.
Down on the ’30s Peninsula, the area that’s now the Fun Zone drew throngs of beach-going visitors, with not a party ordinance in sight.
What do you suppose lots were going for on the Peninsula when the Pavilion was new?

After World War II, Newport Beach really began to take off as a center for boating, recreation and community living.
